Help shape a new kind of support for people navigating ADHD diagnosis and adjustment

Crawley Community Action is recruiting Neurodivergent Pathway Link Workers to help deliver a new support service alongside the local ADHD assessment and diagnosis pilot in primary care.

This role will provide non-clinical support for adults navigating the ADHD diagnostic pathway, helping people make sense of their experiences, connect with community support and build confidence following diagnosis.

Working as part of our social prescribing team, you will:

  • Have supportive “what matters to you” conversations with people referred into the pathway
  • Help people navigate the uncertainty of waiting for assessment
  • Facilitate small group sessions for people following diagnosis
  • Connect individuals with local activities, peer support and community resources
  • Work alongside GP practices and community organisations to strengthen local support

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working relationally with people, is comfortable facilitating conversations and groups, and is motivated by helping people access the support that matters to them.

You might come from a background in:

  • social prescribing
  • community development
  • mental health support
  • voluntary sector work
  • peer support or lived experience roles

Experience supporting neurodivergent people would be helpful but not essential, and applications from neurodivergent people are welcomed.  But what matters most is that you are:

  • a curious and thoughtful listener
  • good at building trusting relationships
  • organised and self-directed
  • comfortable working with people from a wide range of backgrounds
