What is the Living Healthier Lives Project?

Living Healthier Lives is a two-year project that will support individuals and community groups to address health inequalities in Crawley. This project will support people and groups to grow and develop and give them the tools to help address any issues. These issues can be anything from tackling mental health issues and physical activities to supporting healthy eating to live healthier lives.

This project will help individuals and groups respond to the ever-changing needs in the local community. We understand health inequalities are complex, and we know that specific communities from diverse and/or minority backgrounds experience unfair health outcomes to others. However, with the right tools and support in place, we can help change this.

We are very grateful to NHS Charities Together, who have awarded £830,000 to Heads On, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s Charity to address health inequalities, suicide prevention, and supportive hospital discharge across Sussex. As the leading charity. Heads On has distributed funding to 10 charities from across Sussex, including Crawley Community Action. (For more information, the ten partners are listed below).
