Becoming a member of CCA will enable access to a comprehensive range of practical support to help your charity, community group or social enterprise to grow and develop appropriately and achieve your mission effectively. You will also be able to access a range expert professional services including fundraising, financial management, insurance and marketing as well as increase the profile of your work and help to develop local partnership opportunities.

  • Help identifying and applying for appropriate funding sources for your work
  • Guidance on all aspects of best practice around governance and organisational development, including developing policies, business plans and legal structures and demonstrating impact.
  • Opportunity to undertake an organisational health check assessment to help your group be more effective, accountable and sustainable

 

Specialist Volunteering Support

  • 1-1 advice and support in all aspects of good practice around volunteer recruitment, retention, legal responsibilities and management
  • Access to our online volunteering database to help promote your volunteer opportunities
  • Signposting to relevant safeguarding, volunteer management resources and DBS providers.

 

Access to specialist professional support

Membership of CCA will connect you with a range of professional support services who CCA has identified as trusted partners. We can help broker relationships to ensure that you receive specialist, independent expert guidance around financial management, marketing and communications, insurance and fundraising

 

In addition, membership will also offer further support through:

  • Promotion of your events and services through CCA’s various social media and communication platforms
  • Low cost meeting room hire at The Orchard
  • Keeping up-to-date on the latest news from the third sector, including local events, training and fundraising opportunities through our regular E-newsletter
  • Preferential booking for CCA networking events as well as the right to vote and play an active part at our AGM
  • Advertising paid job vacancies on the CCA website
  • Access to high quality, free or reduced rate training courses, delivered by a range of expert trainers.

Crawley Community Action will store your information securely. We will not pass on your details to anyone else, but may contact you on behalf of third parties where we consider this is in the interests of your organisation and its members. We want to publicise and celebrate the work of our members. This includes listing member details on our website and social media. We will send you e-newsletters to help keep you updated about the local community, but please let us know if you would prefer us not to send you these.

General Data Protection Regulations

 Under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulations which came in to force in May 2018, CCA is the data controller for information provided to us.  The details provided will be stored on a computer database at CCA and may be deleted at any time upon request by contacting CCA. Your personal information is safe.  With consent your public contact and service details may be shared with a third party, for example passing your organisational details on to members of the public enquiring about particular services. Data will be held as long as you/your organisation remains a member of Crawley Community Action

 The purpose of holding your data will ensure as members we are able to contact you so you remain up to date with local news, relevant consultations, events and training etc. and to receive appropriate referrals from third sector and statutory organisations and agencies.
