BWC is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting new role within the Peer to Peer Service. The Women’s Service User (SU) Engagement Officer will be responsible for the development of co-design and co-production within the Peer to Peer (P2P) Service and the creation of a new organisation wide SU Forum. She’ll support the Service Manager and the P2P Support Coordinator in the successful delivery of the service.

The Peer to Peer Service provides a blend of virtual and in-person peer support groups across East and West Sussex, which support the aims of the Government’s Loneliness Strategy and promote emotional health and wellbeing, including themed groups which take a more explorative look at key aspects of recovery from trauma. The service also aims to provide opportunities for service users to ‘give back’ to BWC through a co-produced service and bespoke peer facilitator pathway. This project has received funding from The National Lottery to deliver a three-year Mental Health & Wellbeing Service as well as the Ministry of Justice to provide opportunities for women in contact with the Criminal Justice System.

The new SU Forum should aim to hear from service users across BWC’s various services and promote responsive change across the organisation as a result.

BWC offers staff members a generous package of benefits including

  • a wellbeing allowance and a well-being hour during the working week;
  • clinical supervision;
  • reflective group practice;
  • access to therapeutic debrief as required;
  • a comprehensive training package;
  • opportunities for continuing professional development;
  • staff social events;
  • flexible working opportunities
  • a caring, understanding work environment that appreciates the complexities of women’s working and home lives.
