Crawley Open House is a well-established local charity providing a twenty-four-bed direct access hostel and a busy drop-in day-centre. Both provisions are designed to offer a high level of support to clients that are homeless and disadvantaged. They are looking for a Team Around the Person (TAP) Worker for supporting clients with complex and multiple needs, primarily mental health and alcohol/substance misuse, to enable them to address their issues and make positive change in their lives.

  • Identifying relevant support services and to offer personalised support to clients to help them engage successfully and consistently with these services.
  • Building links within the community and create strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community-based groups.
  • Gaining feedback from individuals they support, both formally and informally, to feed into the programme to inform the system change work.

Applicants must have an empathy with the client group and the ability to work within the ethos of Crawley Open House. Previous experience of working with this client group would be advantageous but is not essential.
