Senior Family Group Coordinator

Working hours: 22 hours per week
Salary: £23,484 pro rata – plus contributory pension
Location: Based across Crawley, Horsham and Mid-Sussex

 

Home-Start is the UK’s leading family support charity. They are a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of five. They offer support, friendship and practical help via their trained volunteers and family groups.

Home-Start CHAMS is looking to recruit a person to lead the development of family groups aimed at supporting parents and children under 4. This will include managing your own group, overseeing the recruitment and training of group volunteers and providing support and supervision to the other group workers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their small, supportive staff team.  They offer a genuinely rewarding and positive work environment, and ongoing opportunities for training and development.

 

Essential requirements for the role include:

  • Experience of working with and supporting young children and families
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding issues
  • Experience of managing and running family groups
  • Understanding of volunteering
