Working hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 per annum

Citizens Advice have a track record of delivering high quality debt advice to residents across the County, helping people to move forward with their problems and making a difference. They have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Debt Advisor to join the new integrated financial inclusion team.

About the Role

The impact of cost of living is affecting many people now, struggling to pay their bills. As a trainee debt advisor you will explore issues with residents, identify solutions and provide casework support to resolve it. From debt write offs to DROs, income maximisaiton and signposting to grants. As this role is FCA regulated you will need to be confident in preparing advice letters.

About you

The ideal candidate should have experience of delivering independent debt advice, but training will be provided for the right candidate who can show transferable skills. You will need to be a self-starter and highly motivated, a problem solver able to work through options, excellent communication skills and attention to detail, numeracy skills appropriate to the role and confident to use IT.
