Recruiting Organisation: Voluntary Action Arun & Chichester (VAAC)     

Working hours :15 hours per week flexible days

Salary: £30,984 pro rata
Location: Flexible base at Bognor Regis Town Hall combined with home working.

Voluntary Action Arun & Chichester is an independent charity that helps and supports local voluntary and community groups across Arun and Chichester. They provide information and advice, helping organisations to grow and flourish.

They are looking for a Financial Officer who will support the management team and the VAAC Board with appropriate financial, funding and business planning advice. They are looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised accounting qualification to at least AAT level and preferably to professional level.
• Can undertake general bookkeeping to a high standard.
• Has the ability to manage and develop effective financial administrative systems and enable colleagues to use them.
• Can operate and maintain financial management systems, processes and procedures and produce financial reports for Board and its committees/sub groups.
• Has effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data/information and issues clearly and simply to individuals who may lack a financial background.
• Has a good working knowledge of computers, including spreadsheets, word processing and computerised accounts packages.
• Is pro-active, motivated and a team player.
