Working hours: 15 hours per week
Salary: £12,393.60 (FTE £30,984)
Location: Burgess Hill Cherry Tree Centre with WFH hybrid flexibility

Mid Sussex Voluntary Action (MSVA) has a membership of over 450 local voluntary community and social enterprise organisations who provide services and support that enhance the lives of local people. This is an excellent part-time opportunity to join a growing organisation making a significant impact in the community.

 As a Finance Officer you will play a key role in supporting the management team and the MSVA Board with appropriate financial, funding and business planning information.

They are looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised accounting qualification to at least AAT level and preferably to professional
• Can undertake general bookkeeping to a high.
• Has the ability to manage and develop effective financial administrative systems and enable colleagues to use.
• Can operate and maintain financial management systems, processes and procedures and produce financial reports for Board and its committees/subgroups.
• Has effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data/information and issues clearly and simply to individuals who may lack a financial background.
• Has a good working knowledge of information technology, including spreadsheets, word processing and computerised accounts packages (they use Xero)
• Is pro-active, motivated and a team.
