Family & Volunteer Co-ordinator

Recruiting Organisation: Home-Start CHAMS                           

Working hours: 23 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term 24 months

Salary: £17,245 (£27,742 FTE) – plus contributory pension, paid mileage 
Location: flexible hybrid working over 3 or 4 days (home/office/community)

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in a new project offering parenting support within groups for refugee families with young children under 5 years of age.

You will be responsible for:

• recruiting, training, supervising, and supporting our team of volunteers
• processing family referrals and assessing the family’s needs
• providing the right match of volunteer to family and supervising the ongoing support
• integrating support with other agencies where needed

 You will need:

• NVQ level 3 or relevant professional experience
• sound knowledge of working with parents and their young children
• proven experience of providing supervision
• experience of parenting
• use of a car to enable visiting families
