Sussex Clubs for Young People is a leading provider of youth clubs and activities across East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove. Supporting a peer network of over 140 youth organisations and directly delivering detached, outreach and centre-based activities we have an impact on the lives of over 10,000 young people every week.

We are looking for Coach Core apprentices who will work with our staff and volunteers to create positive informal, educational and recreational activities chosen by and developed with young people aged 9 to 19 rooted in their community that is safe, fun, welcoming and engaging.

The Role

If you enjoy working with children and young people- and are passionate about being active- we want to hear from you!

You will be a permanent member of the Community, Sport and Health team. You will be required to work across sports centres in the area under supervision, delivering fun, inclusive and engaging sports and physical activity sessions.

We particularly welcome applicants from female, black, minority, ethnically diverse communities, disabled people and LGBTQIA+ communities, as they are currently underrepresented within our workforce.

Training

• Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification
• Coach Core workshops
• Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
• A minimum of 1 National Governing Body L2 qualification
• Access to a range of other training, events and opportunities (e.g. activator courses, community sports festivals etc)
