Activ8 for kids was founded in 2012 by Debbie Webb, an experienced PE teacher and sports coach. Activ8 for kids exists to support children’s physical development and movement skills as well as emotional health and well-being by:

• Developing action, balance and coordination
• Improving self-esteem and confidence
•  Inspiring children to participate in and enjoy physical activity

Activ8 for kids aims to bring high-quality PE and school sports to as many children as possible, developing their skills, competences and confidence.

The Role

If you enjoy working with children and young people- and are passionate about being active- we want to hear from you!

You will be a permanent member of the Community, Sport and Health team. You will be required to work across sports centres in the area under supervision, delivering fun, inclusive and engaging sports and physical activity sessions.

We particularly welcome applicants from female, black, minority, ethnically diverse communities, disabled people and those LGBTQIA+ communities, as they are currently underrepresented within our workforce.

Training

• Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification
• Coach Core workshops
• Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
• A minimum of 1 National Governing Body L2 qualification
• Access to a range of other training, events and opportunities (e.g. activator courses, community sports festivals etc)
