DanceHub is a community interest company with objectives to advance, provide and promote the education, development and well-being of people and communities through their active participation in and opportunities through Dance, Sports & Physical Activity and Arts.

Working with our founder partner Brighton Marina Studios Foundation, from their Studios complex in Brighton Marina, we have been developing a number of projects such as Y.E.S. (Youth Empowered by StreetDance), a project that targets young people from deprived areas giving them the opportunity to get active, build confidence and experience live enhancing opportunities as Dancers, Leaders & Volunteers.

The Role

The role can be based in the Brighton or Crawley area, with some travel and collaboration in a number of locations, working with and supported by a wider range of Development Officers, Dance Teachers /Choreographers with a focus on StreetDance, developing teaching skills and sports development for young people through Dance.

Training

  • Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification
  • Coach Core workshops
  • Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
  • A minimum of 1 National Governing Body L2 qualification
  • Access to a range of other training, events and opportunities (e.g. activator courses, community sports festivals etc)
