CCYS value the advice Crawley Community Action gives us on everything from policy to structure and current legal requirements.
It’s easy to become totally immersed in the pursuit of funding and running day to day services. Whereas my twice yearly (or so) meetings with Karl help keep us fresh and thinking more strategically.
Not to forget the regular stream of people that turn up at Dormans wanting to start their own group, which we inevitably send in CCA’s direction.
However, by far the most important thing CCA is able to offer is connectivity.
Our current strategic plan “becoming more than a youth club” recognises the value that comes from working with other community groups, particularly when it comes to being sustainable in the long term. This is only possible with the support of CCA making those connections.
