Community Christmas 2022 from ReEngage

Christmas can be a lonely time for many older people.  But it doesn’t have to be.  Community Christmas provides a free online directory of local festive events and activities taking place across the UK, which are open to local older people who would otherwise be spending the Christmas period alone.

If you’re holding an event or activity between 17 December 2022 and 1 January 2023 you can now add it to their online directory for free and they’ll make sure that older people get to know about it.  All they ask is that it is accessible and welcoming to anyone over the age of 75.

Your event can be anything from a carol concert to a dinner, a quiz, a morning walk, or mince pies and mulled wine with neighbours.   The point is to provide a safe, fun, enjoyable experience for people who may otherwise be alone.
