School Counsellor – Millais School

Working hours: 18.5 per week (this can be covered by one counsellor or split between two)
Salary: £30,080 per annum (pro-rata)
Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Contract: Fixed Term / Permanent Contract (Term-time only)


Dialogue have worked with Millais School for a number of years, the counselling provision is valued and well established, and you will be part of a team with another Dialogue counsellor. YMCA DownsLink Group are seeking candidates who value team working, believe in making a difference to the lives of the children and young people they work with, and who can bring passion and professionalism to this post.

There are two different posts which could be covered by one counsellor or split between two:

  • Post 1 – 6 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract
  • Post 2 – 12.5 hours per week (possibility of increasing to 16 hours after Christmas) on a permanent contract

Applicants must be experienced in counselling young people (age 11-16).

Applicants must be qualified counsellors/therapists and be BACP Registered or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g., HPC, UKCP).
