THE SERVICE

Providing high support accommodation, with options for tailored, specialist provision; onsite activity and multiagency support, this new service will be a genuine place of opportunity. You will be part of a new team, tasked with developing, shaping and evaluating the service to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients, including those who are actively using substances, have a dual diagnosis or mental health conditions or have experienced multiple exclusions from services.

We work closely with the local authority with the aim of ending the need to sleep rough or use insecure or temporary accommodation. We offer a personalised approach to work with people to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion. This accommodation will provide a vital opportunity to each individual, to provide a path away from homelessness.

THE ROLE

This role will support the Housing Services Manager to develop and lead an exciting new accommodation service providing an unprecedented opportunity to end homelessness locally. You will ensure a personalised approach, working to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion, evaluating and adapting the service along the way in order to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients.

You will contribute to the strategic development of this service and the organisation at a time of growth and expansion.

ABOUT YOU

In addition to proven experience of effectively managing a team or service and delivering support to people with a range of needs, you will have:

-Good knowledge of welfare benefits, financial inclusion, housing and homelessness
-Good knowledge of mental health, addiction issues, harm minimisation, complex trauma and other issues affecting homeless people
-The ability to enable staff to motivate and inspire clients to make positive life changes
-The ability to work in an intuitive, psychologically informed way, taking a creative, flexible and collaborative approach
-Good knowledge of best practise of effective housing management in a supported accommodation environment
