Family & Volunteer Co-ordinator

Working hours: 6.25 hours per week, term time only

Contract: Fixed Term 12 months

Salary: £3,800 (£25,183 FTE) – plus contributory pension, paid mileage

Location: flexible hybrid working over 1 or 2 days (Burgess Hill/home/office)

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in a new project offering parenting support within groups for refugee families with young children under 5 years of age.

You will be responsible for:

• running a parent/child group from a venue in Burgess Hill one morning per week
• planning and providing activities to support young children’s learning and development
• supporting and guiding parents on their parenting journey
• supporting and supervising a small team of volunteers

 You will need:

• NVQ level 3 in Early Years or equivalent
• experience of parenting
• experience of working with children aged 0 – 3 years and their families
• proven experience of providing supervision
