Sport England Return to Play

Not-for-profit organisations delivering community sport and physical activity as a significant part of their activity can apply now for grants of between £300 and £10,000 to help them adapt to the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The fund will support organisations operating a single site with a grant to cover things such as:

  • minor amendments to facilities
  • additional sports equipment, signage or sanitation
  • training courses to help deliver activities safely.

Priority will be given to:

  • Projects located in areas of high deprivation
  • Organisations that do not have a significant level of reserve funding available
  • Organisations working with:
    – Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities
    – people on lower incomes
    – disabled people
    – people with long-term health conditions
    – people experiencing a greater burden of care because of coronavirus.

Applications are currently being accepted for projects ready to start within six weeks. Sport England aims to provide a decision within three weeks of receipt.
