Grants of up to £56,000 are available towards security measures to protect against hate crime.
In a bid to tackle the increasing number of hate crimes directed at religious buildings, the Government is making the funding available to places of worship so that they can purchase extra security equipment. Applications are being invited from places of worship, such as churches, gurdwaras, mosques or temples, and associated faith community centres.
Funding can cover the costs of up to three of the defined security measures and applicants need to contribute at least 20% of the total cost of the project.
Applications close on 9 August.
