Volunteering opportunities wanted

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government funded youth initiative that runs summer programmes for 15-17 year olds, aiming to enhance their personal development through new experiences and social action.

This year the usual program of activities cannot take place, but an alternative free programme is running throughout August called ‘Keep Doing Good’. It gives young people the platform to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours of their time with Crawley Town Community Foundation and collectively make a positive local impact.

The NCS team have a group of really engaged young people looking to help the local community through one-day hands on volunteer placements across three days in August. There are 3 teams of 13 young people, who would ideally volunteer together as a group. NCS will provide staff, risk assessments, ensure social distancing and make sure everything is COVID secure.

If you or your contacts can help, please get in touch with NCS Schools Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator, Ellie Smith, at EllieSmith@crawleytownfc.com or on 07480 738617 between 9 and 5, Monday to Thursday.
