Autism Awareness & Neurodiversity & Inclusion in the Workplace Training

 

 

Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead is holding a two half day training course for voluntary organisations and any volunteers who wish to learn more about Autism Awareness and Neurodiversity & Inclusion in the Workplace.

 

  • The first session will be focused on having a general understanding and awareness of the diverse condition of Autistic Spectrum Disorder; and how to support individuals with Autism.
  • The second session will focus on Neurodiversity & Inclusion in the Workplace. Neurodiversity is a term that refers to the diversity of human minds. It is estimated that between 1 in 4 and 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent in the UK.

 

The training is being delivered by Chrissy McDougall who owns her own training business called CM Training.  Chrissy has experience delivering a variety of training both to organisations and volunteers. She has worked across various sectors, including the Corporate, Public, Criminal Justice and Voluntary Sector, and now delivers Autism Awareness Training for Probation staff across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Wales and the South West of England. Dates: Wednesday 12 and Tuesday 25 October (Please note this is a two day course and attendees will need to attend both days)

Time:  9.30am registration for 10am start – 1.30pm

Cost:   £25.00 – Early Bird (book before 14 Sept)       £30.00  –  Thereafter
