Brighton Women’s Centre (BWC) is looking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator who will lead on the development and implementation of new mental health and well-being activities. The Co-ordinator will also support the Peer to Peer Coordinator and Therapeutic Services Manager to re-design and develop an integrated easy access pathway for mental health and well-being support.
The role within BWC is to implement new activities made possible by funding from The National Lottery Community Fund as part of a Virtual Psycho-Social and Mental Health Support Service that will complement our existing Peer to Peer Support and Therapy Service.
As a result of Covid-19 we are witnessing a higher demand for support due to increased feelings of loneliness, isolation and depression. We are supporting women who are struggling with significant loss (loss of friendships, meaning and purpose), anxiety and exacerbated mental health problems.
To help with this increase in intensity you will implement a new online chat, self-compassion clinic, social connection clinic and a new 1:1 support worker.
