Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum

This role has been created to support the fundraising strategy for YMCA DLG. The role will involve managing existing fundraising events including challenge events as well as supporting staff teams and volunteers to create new event opportunities. As part of this, the role includes building relationships with community supporters and creating new links with local community organisations to promote our important charitable aim of transforming young lives. Managing and stewarding supporters will be key and some experience of working with CRM databases (specifically Donorfy) will be preferred.
They are looking for a passionate, creative, self-starter who can work on their own initiative but also inspire others to get involved. You will need to be organised, with an eye for the detail and be able to manage complicated projects whilst maintaining a focus on the end goal. This is an exciting development role for someone wishing to develop their career in fundraising and to be part of an ambitious fundraising and communications team.
A key task for this role will be the development of existing fundraising events and the development of new events. This will require operational skills as well as excellent, persuasive verbal and written skills.
Responsibility for donor stewardship and relationship management will fall within this role so the successful candidate must have exceptional customer service skills.
The successful candidate must have a driving license and access to a vehicle and some experience of CRM databases.
Expected working pattern
This is a full-time position but work to support events will be required on some weekends and evenings.
